HAFNEXHow we work
Start with the mission. Build the right capability.
HAFNEX uses a mission-led, partner-enabled approach designed to move from understanding the requirement to delivering and sustaining the capability.
Our approach
Understand. Identify. Source. Build. Deliver. Sustain.
01
Understand
Understand the mission, operating environment, stakeholders, constraints and intended outcome.
02
Identify
Define the underlying capability gap rather than treating symptoms or assuming a solution.
03
Source
Identify the best-fit Saudi and international expertise, technology and capability.
04
Build
Design the integrated capability, operating model, partnership and delivery approach.
05
Deliver
Work alongside clients and partners to execute, integrate, assure and adapt.
06
Sustain
Transfer knowledge, strengthen governance and help establish the conditions for long-term capability.
Mission first
Mission first. Capability second. Technology third.
We do not begin with a predetermined product, vendor or technology. We begin with the mission requirement and remain technology-agnostic and partner-agnostic until the capability need is understood.
Saudi capability first
Use what exists. Strengthen what can be strengthened. Fill only the genuine gap.
When credible Saudi capability exists, it should be considered first. When it is partial, HAFNEX can help strengthen or complement it. International capability is introduced where it provides differentiated value that is not sufficiently available locally.
- 01Required capability
- 02Saudi capability exists?
- 03Use & strengthen / complement
- 04Genuine gap remains?
- 05Best-fit international capability
- 06Integrate / transfer / localize as required
Partnership by design
We do not need to own every capability. We need to assemble the right ones.
HAFNEX works with clients and capability partners through a collaborative model.
- Co-define
- Co-design
- Co-deliver
- Co-learn
- Co-scale
The objective is to combine complementary strengths around the mission while ensuring accountability, knowledge transfer and sustainable outcomes.
Sovereignty by design
Sovereignty is not about owning everything. It is about understanding what matters enough to control.
- 01
Data
Where sensitive information is stored, processed, accessed and governed.
- 02
Technology
Dependencies on proprietary or externally controlled technology.
- 03
Knowledge
Critical knowledge retained within the national organization.
- 04
Capability
The people, process and operating capability to sustain outcomes.
- 05
Supply chain
Critical dependencies understood; resilience strengthened where required.
- 06
AI
Appropriate control over sensitive data, models, infrastructure and access.
For each critical dependency, the strategic choice may be:
- 01
Own
What must be sovereign.
- 02
Localize
What should be built here.
- 03
Partner
What can be partnered.
- 04
Accept dependency
Where it is strategically acceptable.
The appropriate choice depends on mission criticality, security, resilience, economics, technology maturity, national capability and the consequences of dependency.
